NOTES: Externally, 1st Models are differentiated from later guns because of the round barrel housing. Early 1st Model Griswolds are scarce & have a much lower survival rate than the standard 2nd models with half-octagonal barrel housings. Griswolds in the 1st model range are scarce & usually saw a lot of action. There are, however, 10 more guns known in this 800 serial range (807, 809, 810, 817, 829, 855, 866, 875, 877 & 882.) This most recently discovered gun makes 11 known in the 800 range of Griswold revolvers.
