LOT 4067 – RARE BALL U.S. INSPECTED REPEATING CARBINE

Bbl. 20 1/2″ round. Semi circular front w/ single leaf rear sight. Case colored lever operated action has E. G. Lamson & Co. address on left side forward of saddle ring & bar. Band fastened forend & straight grip walnut stock w/ carbine buttplate. 7 rd. tubular mag located in forend. Button tipped iron wiping rod. The U.S. contracted for the Ball in 1864. Delivery came in May 1865, too late to be issued.
