English school. Unsigned oil on canvas depicts a ship at night in a gale rolling over on its side by a large wave, spilling men and lifeboats into the sea. Housed in the original molded gold gilt frame with label of F. Newcombe 73 Park St., Bristol. SIZE: overall 13 1/2″ x 15 1/2″, sight 10″ x 12″.
