DESIREABLE HIGH CONDITION REMINGTON MODEL 03-A4 BOLT ACTION WWII SNIPER RIFLE

Bbl. 24″. Marked “R-A””flaming bomb” “6-43”. The barrel has never been fitted with a front sight. This very good correct Model 03-A4 has a late type pistol grip stock with crisp markings and an M73B1 telescopic sight. The receiver has off-set markings allowing them to be read with the scope mounted. The actual mark on the receiver is “MODEL 03-A3” which is correct for these rifles. Rifle is equipped with a M73B1 sniper scope marked “TELESCOPE M73B1” “STOCK NO.7579931” “SERIAL NO. The 3/4” tube scope is constructed of blued steel has a fine crosshair reticule and is numbered on the right rear 7669611. The base is marked on the right rear “REDFIELD” and has a single mounting screw at each end. the front of the base has a shim which is common on these bases. All visible rifle parts markings are “R”.Correct bolt has clearance for scope. Walnut stock set. Stock has the proper cut for bolt handle. Stock is late type full pistol grip and two reinforcing screws. Stock is marked on left side over trigger guard with boxed “FJA” “RA” crossed cannons and “RA-P” which was likely a test and check at Raritan Arsenal. There are a number of assembly marks forward of trigger guard tang. “Circle P” proof under pistol grip as well as “D”. All stamped furniture including the checkered buttplate & the “small bow” trigger guard. Tan “BOYT” model 1907 leather sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked original leather scope caps.
