Bbl. 24″ marked behind front sight “SA flaming bomb 7-42”. Receiver produced in 1929 & has “Hatcher Hole” on left side. Bright polished bolt marked underneath handle “W”. Bolt shroud marked w/ boxed “7”. 1903A3 cocking piece. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2850yds. Dished elevation & windage knobs. Blade front sight. Receiver fitted on top w/ scope block. Forend has been modified to replicate the 1941 USMC Sniper configuration & mortised hole for scope block mounted on bbl. Scope blocks have 7 1/4″ spacing between centers, Front scope block is tipped slightly towards muzzle. All milled furniture. Bayonet lug is marked “H”. Walnut “C” type stock marked “S” in mag. cut off. Checkered trap buttplate. Brown leather Model 1907 type sling w/ brass keepers. Correct original Unertl 8x external adj. telescope w/ AO. Scope marked on top “J. UNERTL USMC-SNIPER 1390”. Lock ring is marked on top “8”. Blued steel scope has black anodized aluminum mts. Rear mt. is marked underneath “J UNERTL” & patent number. Scope has crosshair reticle & screw on steel scope caps.
