This year marks the 18th anniversay of the Autumn Gettysburg Civil War & Militaria Show. The first event was held in 2002 in the ballroom of the Eisenhower Inn & Conference Center with 135 tables of Civil War relics. Since then they have expanded to 400 tables of military artifacts from the the Revolutionary War to the end of World War II utilizing the spacious AllStar Sports Complex on the grounds of the Eisenhower Center.
The show was created by Steve Sylvia, publisher of North South Trader’s Civil War magazine, and Dean Thomas. Both men are well established as collectors, relic hunters, writers, photographers and publishers of numerous reference books now considered landmark works in the field of American military collectibles.
Their effort in establishing the show was augmented by the capable assistance of Jim Thomas, Nancy Dearing Rossbacher, and Robert Painter. Together, the team has collaborated in creating a successful and important annual event for collectors and historians.
