M548A1 6-TON, AMPHIBIOUS TRACKED CARGO CARRIER

VIN # C011. The M548A1 is a versatile 6-ton tracked, amphibious cargo vehicle used by the U.S. military, primarily designed to support logistical operations over various terrain. Introduced in the 1960s, it is based on the chassis of the M113 armored personnel carrier, providing a robust and reliable platform for transporting cargo, ammunition, and equipment.
The M548A1 is fully amphibious, & on water it is propelled by its tracks. Due to its size it has a low ground pressure signature & performs very well in rugged terrain including mud & snow. The payload capacity is approximately 6 tons. The M58A1 has been used by the United States in several wars & conflicts including the Vietnam War & Gulf War & its legacy continues in various roles within the armed forces and allied nations today. Tan paint externally. Canvas cab cover cut to accept optional ring mount (not included). Body includes skeleton posts for adding optional canvas cargo cover (not included). Rubber pavement pads on tracks.
