LOT 3431. HIGHLY DESIRABLE COLT OFFICIAL POLICE KING SUPER TARGET DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER

S# 24394 Bbl
6″. Originally mfg. by Colt in 1940, this Official Police was subsequently upgraded into its Colt-King Super Target configuration. Left side of the bbl. is marked “COLT”, followed by the model and cal. designations, with “COLT-KING SUPER TARGET” marked on the left side of the V/R. Left side of hammer is marked “KING/ COCKEYED/ HAMMER” and features an extension of the left side. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood aftermarket grips. Action has been custom tuned and features a crisp trigger pull. Grooved V/R is inletted into the top strap of the frame and features a reflector blade front sight and adj. square notch rear sight.
