Bbl. 22 1/8″ round. Blade front sight w/ 2 leaf rear sight. Breech lever is lifted up & back for loading. Lever & lockplate have first type “J.H. MERRILL BALTO” markings. Band fastened second type walnut stock w/ brass fittings. Left side has saddle ring & bar w/ 1 clear cartouche. Total quantity mfg. of about 14,495.
