FINE EARLY US NAVY COLT 1911 SEMI AUTO PISTOL

Approx. 5,800 Navy contract pistols were shipped to the U.S. Navy Yard in Brooklyn, New York between July & August 1913 (S# range 38001-43800). This pistol appears to have all correct parts: including 5″ Colt Type 3 barrel w/ additional “J” proof on left lug, “GHS” proof on frame & Type 1 double diamond checkered walnut grips. MAGS: 1 two tone 7 rd. with indentation near spine lip. Fair overall showing heavy patina throughout. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: custom made walnut case with shadow line cutouts for 4 1911 profile pistols.
