24-2231
Cal. 7.65x21mm Parabellum
S# 24532

Bbl. 11 3/4″. Rare and desirable Model 1902 “Old Model” Luger Carbine semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM circa. 1904-1905. Toggle is marked with the intertwined “DWM” monogram. Underside of bbl. exhibits Crown/B, Crown/U, and Crown/G commercial proofs, with the breechblock and forward toggle link also exhibiting Crown/B and Crown/U proofs. Major metal components exhibit a rust blue finish overall, with some smaller components including the takedown lever, trigger, safety lever, extractor, and ejector exhibiting a strawed finish. Frame is mounted with checkered wood grips, which have been embellished with a single large diamond in the center of each panel. Edges of grips have been sanded down at one time, creating a smooth bordered edge, with traces of original original checkering remaining in some areas. Bottom rear edges of grips are shy to the frame, with the interior of each grip panel exhibiting what appears to be a crowned imperial proof at the center. Checkered wood forend features a German silver wedge escutcheon and a schnabel tip.

Detachable wood buttstock features checkering around the circumference of the wrist, with a 2-screw iron and horizontally grooved horn buttplate. Grips, forend, buttstock, and mag. bottom have been lightly sanded and revarnished at one time. Grooved ramped blade front sight with Carbine production pattern 4-position rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame (forend iron), takedown lever, sideplate, grip safety, bbl., bbl. extension, breechblock, toggles, as well as on the interior of the forend. The “2” digit on most serialized components appears to have been stamped with a broken die, with the center section mostly being absent. Grips do not match, but match each other. Stock lug has been numbered to match. MAGS: 1 8-rd.

UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: contemporary wood case.
