The Philadelphia Toboggan Company was founded and established by Henry Auchy and Chester Albright. The company continues to operate today as the Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Inc. (PTC). The PTC is the oldest roller coaster company and the second oldest amusement ride manufacturer in the world, from its founding shortly after the Great Depression, the PTC manufactured 87 carousels; approximately 35 original PTC carousels which are still in operation today. This fine example with well carved throat and tail, backswept ears and brown glass eyes. Saddle blanket and harness trapping in turquoise, jade green and red striping with scroll designs. The rear corners of the saddle feature carved flower blossoms. SIZE: 62″ h x 52″ l.
