This extraordinary example is painted on 19th century Cuban mahogany footboard of a bed and retains original surface. Note: the Shelbourne Hotel at 27 St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin was always a landmark. The original building burned in 1870 and was rebuilt two years later. Over the years, it was frequented by many of Ireland’s great writers; James Cagney and John F. Kennedy were two Americans who stayed at the hotel. SIZE: 31″ h x 68″ w.
