MATCHED PAIR OF CARVED AND PAINTED PENGUINS BY CHARLES HART OF GLOUCESTER, MA (1862-1960)

Each of the penguins mounted on a square wooden base each having applied wings and painted mostly in black and white with red highlights on the throat. Hart was a noted carver from Gloucester, Massachusetts who specialized in penguins of all sizes. The consignors father spent a great deal of time in the Arctic and later collected penguin forms of all types.

SIZE: Approx. 10″ h each.
