RARE LONDON COLT MODEL 1855 REVOLVING MILITARY RIFLE WITH BAYONET AND FLASK

S# 1000.
The 27″ round barrel with octagonal breech section is fitted with clamp on bayonet lug and attaches to 18″ forend wood with two bands. Muzzle to steel forend tip measures 4 3/4″. Breech section is fitted with usual three leaf rear sight and left side is stamped with London proofs. Action with caliber marking on left side of trigger guard bow has fluted six shot cylinder which is also British proofed. Top strap is stamped “ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON” S# is on bottom of frame and on trigger guard tang. Walnut buttstock has steel buttplate with trap in butt for cleaning rod. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: rifle comes with German saber bayonet with leather scabbard marked “ALEX COPPEL” “SOLINGEN”. The number “63260” is on left side of crossguard and “3AB964” is on right. Bayonet fits rifle very well. Also included is a reproduction brass Colt US peace flask. Rifle comes in black plastic case.
