RARE AND DESIRABLE WINCHESTER 1894 CASE COLORED DELUXE LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

Research indicates that only 155 Model 1894 Winchesters left the factory with case hardened frames. Bbl. 26″ octagon with sporting sights. 2/3 length mag held by a single bbl. band. Action & forend cap have desirable case colored finish. Forend & hard rubber capped pistol grip stock of XXX walnut have striking burl figure. Features include style “H” checkering & hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Left side of lower tang is marked with assembly number “2427” followed by “OH” & “RB”. Top tang channel of the stock has matching assembly number. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Cody Firearms Museum letter giving the following information. “Serial number applied on October 26, 1895. / Type: Rifle / Caliber: 38/55 / Barrel Type: Octagon / Trigger: Plain / Checkered stock with pistol grip / 2/3 Magazine / Shotgun butt, Rubber butt plate / Casehardened / Oil finished / Received in warehouse on October 29, 1895 / Shipped from warehouse on November 6, 1895, Order number 23139”.
