RARE IRON FRAME HENRY MODEL 1860 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

The Henry was a revolutionary repeating rifle introduced at the time of the US Civil War. The Iron Frame Henry is the scarcest & most desirable variation. Estimated quantity of 275 were produced in S# range 1-400. Bbl. 24″ octagon w/ integral mag. tube. Shroud at front of bbl. rotates for loading. Brass blade front sight, open dovetail on bbl. w/ sporting leaf rear sight mounted on receiver dovetail. Straight grip stock of nicely grained walnut is fitted w/ the early style rounded toe iron trapdoor buttplate. Left inside of lower tang & top tang channel of stock have matching S# 94. All stock & buttplate screws have matching numbers. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 4 piece cleaning rod held in stock compartment.
