Herb Parsons began his career as a regional salesman for Winchester in 1930. By 1935 he had became a full time exhibition shooter for Winchester. He continued to thrill audiences until his untimely death in 1959.
Ramp mounted bead front sight with sporting rear sight. 2/3 length mag. Blue finish. Semi beavertail forend and hard rubber capped pistol grip stock checkered walnut stock with Super Grade swivel bases and checkered steel buttplate. 1940 mfg.
UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Blue cloth cover for 7’x30″ table. Stitched yellow lettering proclaims “HERB PARSONS / SHOOTING”. “Western-WINCHESTER / Guns and Ammunition” in red lettering displayed on table front & end flaps. 2 Framed event posters with Parson’s photo. The large, 24″x18″ pictures a selection of firearms with a M64 that could be this rifle. The smaller is 18″x9″. Also included are 11 photos of Parsons or celebrities, letter, promotional materials, a box of Super X 28 ga. shotshells and a copy of the book “Showman Shooter The Life and Times of Herb Parsons”. 1 full red & yellow box Winchester Silvertip Super Speed 30-30 w/ 150 grain expanding bullets.
