EXCEPTIONAL COLT SAA TRANSITIONAL MODEL REVOLVER

One of the last black powder SAA revolvers, this style is known to collectors as the “Transition” model. It is not guaranteed for smokeless powder & has no verified proof “VP” on trigger guard. Bbl. length is 4-3/4″ with narrow land black powder rifling. Hartford bbl. address. Original black powder front sight. Fluted six shot cyl. Blue finish with case colored frame, hammer & loading gate. 2 piece checkered hard rubber rampant colt grips. As little as 5% of production were 41 Colt cal. Mfg. 1899 and shipped to Hartley & Graham Co in New York City.
