No. 1 Engraved Marlin Model 1897 Lever Action Rifle.

Bbl. 24″ octagon to round. Gold finished action has No. 1 factory engraving. Left side vignette has a woodland scene featuring a whitetail buck. The scene is surrounded by arabesque scroll that continues to the right side, top tang as well upper and lower action areas. 2/3 length tubular mag. Sights consist of a gold washed Beach combination front, rocky mountain rear and Lyman No. 52A wind gauge tang sight. Forend and S curved pistol grip stock of fancy black walnut have No. C checkering.
Features include hard rubber buttplate and gold washed forend cap. The S curved grip is fitted with a brass oval nameplate having initials “GLM”.
