UNBELIEVABLE MAUSER C96 SIX SHOT WITH FIXED SIGHTS, REINFORCED CHAMBER, NO STOCK SLOT AND CHECKERED GRIPS.

Super rare six shot, identical to the closely numbered example in “System Mauser on page 106/107, whose S# is 10 digits higher. This pistol w/ 4” bbl. having fixed sights & reinforced chamber. Short extractor, 2 lug firing pin & SR hammer. Usual “Mauser” address on chamber. Full S# on left side of frame. Crown /”C” /”U” on left side of bbl. extension. 2 Line “Mauser” address on right side of frame that has a thin backstrap, never slotted for a stock. Floorplate has serrations in front. Release plunger surfaced w/ concentric circles. Gun was exported to England as reflected by the British test markings under bbl & crown “BNP’ on left side of chamber & left side of frame over chamber. Fitted w/ finely checkered walnut grips. Lanyard present.
On disassembly, S# is repeated either in full or the last 3 digits on all customary parts, in their usual location including each of the grips. Unnumbered but inspected follower. Major components rust blued. Minor components fire blued except the trigger that is strawed & Bolt / hammer & subframe remaining in the white.
You will go a long long time before finding another example, particularly in such high condition!
