CONFEDERATE MCELROY OFFICER SWORD “WE WILL CONQUER OR DIE”.

Classic “W. J. McElroy / Macon Geo.” etched foot officer sword, black leather grip, smooth plain pommel & quillon. 29.5″ Blade has long taper to point unique to this make, 18″ etched panels include full firm marking, flags, crossed cannon, military drum, large fancy script “CS”, and patriotic early war sentiment in script: “We will Conquer or die” as over 250,000 Confederate soldiers did.
This is a wonderful example in beautiful condition with deep clear etching, perfect grip and patina. There is accompanying scabbard for display.
