RARE CONFEDERATE MAKER MARKED “EJ JOHNSTON” MACON GEORGIA SHORT SWORD.

E.J. Johnston was among the preeminent Georgia and earliest makers who made the highest quality arms. His short sword was copied all over the South but his is rarely found, distinct cast brass concentric ring cruciform grip. 24″ overall, .4″ thick, unique 2 fuller 18.5″ wasp waist blade, back one being triangular shaped & stopped.
The hilt is marked in small die across guard: “E J JOHNSTON MACON GA”.
