Boyle & Gamble, Richmond, VA was the largest maker of officer swords in the Confederacy, finding beautiful “as found” examples however is rare. You will not find a more perfect and pleasing example in scabbard of the pattern, wonderful brass patina, perfect scabbard leather, perfect leather grip.
Blade shows forging “flaw” where iron tang blacksmith welded to steel blade, retains protective leather washer.
