Classic Thompson SMG US Model 1928 A1 mfg. by Auto-Ordnance in Bridgeport, CT. 29 Rib finned bbl. Terminated w/ Cutts compensator marked w/ Thompson bullet logo, Cutts logo, “Auto-Ordnance Corporation” & patent dates. Horizontal wood fore arm. Front blade sight integral w/ compensator & rear is adj. Lyman graduated sight. Hardwood, rear stock includes trapdoor w/ metallic oil can. Sling swivels at 6-O’clock front and rear, w/ tan canvas sling. Slotted top mounted cocking knob. Finish on exposed metal surfaces, matte finish Parkerizing. Bridgeport manufactured. Left side receiver markings are as follows: Ordnance ‘Flaming Bomb’ & Inspectors mark “WB” indicating that it was inspected by Colonel Waldemar Broberg who served as AIO of the Springfield District from 1 July 1941 until 30 June 1942. “U.S. Model of 1928 A1”, “Thompson Submachine Gun”, “Calibre 45 Automatic Cartridge”. Also the stamp “POL” over the chamber area in front of the mag-well. Right side markings include patent block on rear of receiver & “Auto-Ordnance Corporation”, “Bridgeport Connecticut, U.S.A.”. Trigger frame serial number S-404624. MAGS: 3 Blued 30 rd., 2 Crosby Company, 1 Seymour.
