Bbl. 28″ VR w/ fixed Mod choke & steel bead.
Recoil operated action features exquisite full coverage F Grade factory engraving. Right side vignettes feature flushing bob white quail, 2 pointing dogs & flushing woodcock. Left side vignettes feature pheasants, 2 pointing setters & flying mallards. Scenes are surrounded by vine type foliate scroll w/ punch dot backgrounds that continue to upper & lower surfaces of receiver as well as breech end of bbl. Triggerguard bow has complimentary engraving featuring vignette w/ dogs head. Unsigned engraving is the work of Remington master engraver Robert Runge. Bottom of receiver has engraved Model & S# markings. Forearm & hard rubber capped pistol grip stock of fancy walnut have gloss finish & F Grade hand checkering. Stock has an oval nameplate on toeline.
LOP: shortened to 13 3/4″ over an aftermarket solid black Kick-Eez pad.
Model 11-48 was mfg. from 1949 to 1968.
