Bbl. 26″ cyl. bore w/ factory VR & steel beads. Action features outstanding full coverage F Grade engraving. Right side vignettes feature flushing pheasants, 2 pointing setters & flushing partridge. Left side vignettes feature a flying mallard, 2 pointers & 2 woodcock. Scenes are surrounded by vine type foliate scroll w/ punch dot backgrounds that continue to upper & lower edges of receiver & breech end of bbl. Alloy triggerguard has complimentary engraving featuring a dog’s head. Bottom of receiver has engraved Model & S# markings. Target style finger groove forearm & hard rubber capped pistol grip Monte Carlo stock w/ exhibition grade walnut w/ style F hand checkering. Stock has oval nameplate on toeline.
LOP: altered to 14″ over an aftermarket White Line pad.
Unsigned engraving is the work of Remington master engraver Robert Runge. The Model 31 was mfg. from 1931-1949.
