Bbl. 38″ stamped & engraved “MS / 1777” on breech. Lock engraved “MOSES / BABCOCK”. Brass mounted. This musket was found in an English auction in 2015 & purchased by Al Para. Moses Babcock is listed in several books on colonial firearms as a musket & bayonet maker from Charlestown, MA.
