No more than a couple hundred of this early predecessor to the Civil War era Savage Navy Martial pistol survivor. This example has 2 character S# stamped on most parts which appear almost cryptic w/ filled dyes. The 2nd character appears to be a 2. Standard configuration. 14 1/2″ overall. Bbl. marked in 2 lines w/ Savage & North patent information which is only partially discernable. Dbl. action ring trigger & second trigger for firing, 2 wood slab grips. Solid brass frame & side plate.
