The 27″ dovetailed bbls. are silver inlaid “FOR 2 INCH CASE ONLY” on plain Churchill rib. Tops of bbls. are engraved “J. Dickson & Son” “Incorporatings Mortimer & Son. Edinburgh. Bbl. flats are stamped w/ Birmingham nitro proofs for 2” chambers & 1 1/8 oz. of shot. Loop is stamped w/ actual maker’s number “89233”. Case hardened boxlock action features automatic saety & dbl. triggers. Action is engraved w/ about 50% coverage sprays of scroll within line & scroll borders. “J. Dickson & Son” are on scroll terminated riband on each side. Blued top lever floor plate, trigger plate & trigger guard are engraved w/ matching scroll, S# is on trigger guard tang. Well fiddle figured & lightly streaked European walut straight grip buttstock measures 14″ over checkered wood butt. Flat top point pattern checkering is at grip & a vacant silver oval is on toeline. Short matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release.
