Bbl. 26″ plain w/ factory “CYL” bore & ramp mounted front sight. John Browning sold American mfg. rights for his A5 shotgun to Remington & European rights to FN. The unusual features of the Winchester Model 1911 are a result of having to produce an autoloading shotgun that did not infringe a Browning patent. Since the gun could not have a bolt handle, the action is cycled by depressing the bbl. w/ a knurled section. Due to the gun’s heavy recoil, the stock is constructed from 3 sections of laminated wood w/ original buttplate. Finger groove walnut forearm. 1911 Mfg., first year production.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1911 BLACK DIAMOND SELF LOADING SHOTGUN.

Bbl. 28″ w/ matted top. Ramp mounted bead front sight. Fixed Full choke. This scarce Black Diamond Target Grade features a straight grip stock & fancy walnut forearm w/ wrap around hand checkering having black diamond inlays at the wrist. LOP: 14″ over a crushed London style pad. Mfg. 1915.
